The blank spots are not on Earth. They are in the nervous system. In the memory of herbs. In crafts we are forgetting. In the ocean. In what children know and adults forget. I locate the ones I find fascinating and research them. Objects and installations made from the edges of what we understand.

A piece begins where curiosity won't leave me alone. Sometimes a paper. Sometimes a mechanism. Sometimes a question about what we are underneath what we've been told we are. The research could go on indefinitely. I stop it when I have enough to say something in form. The object is that stopping point made physical. I make slowly. I make few. Each piece is one part sculpture, one part field report from territory curiosity has mapped.

The work is meant to live in spaces where it can be looked at slowly. Homes that are quiet enough to think in. Institutions that still believe an object can be a question.
